factory girl
I watched this lovely movie "The Factory Girl" the other day on Star Movies..
This one ws my memorable quote the one I want to share with some1 soon..
Andy Warhol: I wonder if people are going to remember us?
Edie Sedgwick: What, when we're dead?
Andy Warhol: Yeah.
Edie Sedgwick: Well I think people will talk about how you changed the world.
Andy Warhol: I wonder what they'll say about you... in your obituary. I like that word.
Edie Sedgwick: Nothing nice, I don't think.
Andy Warhol: No no, come on. They'd say, "Edith Minturn Sedgwick: beautiful artist and actress...
Edie Sedgwick: ...and all around loon.
Andy Warhol: ...Remembered for setting the world on fire...
Edie Sedgwick: ...and escaping the clutches of her terrifying family...
Andy Warhol: ...Made friends with eeeeverybody, and anybody...
Edie Sedgwick: ...creating chaos and uproar wherever she went. Divorced as many times as she married, she leaves only good wishes behind.
[laughs]
Edie Sedgwick: That's nice, isn't it?

My Feelings..
During my courageous battle against Feelings I discovered, in shock, that the medical establishment has done very little research on this crippling affliction. In fact some physicians even went so far as to claim Feelings aren’t even a life-threatening disease! Luckily for you my PhD has qualified me to assemble this informative medical pamphlet for any of you who fear you may have contracted Feelings.
Keep fighting...
ARE YOU SUFFERING FROM FEELINGS?
What Are Feelings?
Feelings are a tender emotional state that develop when a male becomes fixated on a single female to the exclusion of others.
Early Warning Signs
When you’re around one particular chick, you experience:
•Pounding Heart
•Dry Mouth
•Nausea
•Inability to speak
•Sweating
•Desire to say flattering things
If undiagnosed, these warning signs can quickly develop into the full blown disease…
Symptoms
•Warm fluttery feelings in stomach
•Lightheadedness
•An unexplained urge to watch Love Actually
•Sudden increase in cuddling occurrences
•Brunch cravings
•Explosive monogamy
•Happiness
•Failure to notice other hot women
•Crosswording
Transmission
Though correlation remains scientifically inconclusive, studies indicate “hand holding” may play a role in spreading Feelings from one person to another.
Treatment
At this time the only treatment for Feelings is a multi-week course in Other Women. If symptoms persist, repeat course at a higher dosage. NOTE: This treatment can result in harmful side-effects which I think you can think on your own..:P.
“Together we can end Feelings”
Crude Oil is crude
wat i knw right now is that I have a CAT paper at the end of the week and I am bloody like a washerman's dog..neither full-time CAT preparation and neither learning that much in trading..
Its a big confused environment for me..
thought for the moment
Moving on....I have this habit that I try to learn one good habit from every friend i make or know...it can be anything...It can be how to talk well of others...or refraining from negative thoughts/talk....pragmatism...how not to make others yearn for you to say and instead just say ....
This one is dedicated to the friend who made me learn a couple of things...amongst them the prime thing is Sunsigns...Ok..now you may think how is this gud/bad...bt lemme begin to talk ...I made this friend iin the last days of my school...I wrote in this friend's slam book at the end of the school days my bday and other random stuff..
anywayz cut to the point i meet this person after more than 4 years ..and the person remembers my sunsign...which tells my bday in a 30 day range....like rough idea of the month it is..
and bloody me dint even know which half of the year (that wud have been the precision of 180 dayz to the very least..)..so till that point I never used to feel the need to remember anyone's bday and was pretty cold-blooded about my bday too..bt i felt so nice and good that I decided to remember the bday of every friend i make and I also nowadayz make a point to remember the sunsign and the various stuff related to that...and discussing with this friend(before this i used to give a damn to all the hororscopes and sunsign talk..which i think is pretty crap even now..)...but i learnt that people appreciate it if u know and also cud make a gud talking point...
anywayz i am listening to these song ...halifax's straight up and def leppard's hysteria.

Oil Continued
Obviously the oil bubble has burst and the claims that the production costs of oil is 70$ has been affirmed at least for now.Where it may go is still a big question?
Now as for my theory about vested interests wanting that oil remains above 100$ still holds since they just did an oil production cut of 1.5 million barrels a day out of the arnd 86-87 million barrels a day used by the world.Though it could not stop the slide is temporary since it is happening due to the financial crisis across the world. It still has to hit India and Asia though warning bells have begun ringing in the form of stock market crashes. We still have to see it in Asia is My Point.
The point to be noted is that with the price of oil above 100$ ,trying for new oil reserves/exploration/alternative means of energy all started to look feasible which has not been the case in past around 10-15 years.Oil Shales in Canada and other alternative energy means cannot be supported with price of oil under $80 to be most conservative (maybe even $100 would be a good estimate.)
So the prices of Oil was driven down so that all these projects which had been started over past some time start to look unfeasible and economically inefficient. This could have been done by vested interests. They would pick it up again above 100 and then next time on these new projects would come only if the price stabilizes above $120 for longer period of time. After the mauling in all the financial streets, they have run out of steam and money to finance themselves.
Another point is that the recent anouncements of Opec production cut is meant more for US and other countries who support and finance Israel for Palestine.Arab has long hated US role in Palestine and it has I think done a deal with non pro-Israel nations that it will continue to supply Oil to them as it is.The production cut is more of a supply cut for US and Co. and the rest will be business as usual. Moreover the remaining production they wil continue to supply to other countries. Also this gives them the dual benefit of price rise( since US is a big consumer of Oil and supply cut to them would affect the prices in the long run) as also it gives US the thumbs down in Israel.
Now coming back to the downturn awaited in India (and I mean Asia in general). It will affect our serice driven economy and the production driven economies of the rest of the Asia(which supplies mostly to US and have low domestic consumption) and hence then with less people to spend on other stuff ,will affect the rest of the Economy.
I also think that rate cuts et al will not have the desired affect since that will only drive all the money from the banks back to stashing of cash and not make people invest in business. What is needed is a stimulus and confidence in economy and not just mere rate cuts.
Lets hope the recession turns from here.
Haunted hotels to keep you awake
Suicide, murder, untimely deaths, all set the grisly stage for macabre stories of hauntings and other ghostly tales drawing visitors to supposedly haunted hotels around the world ahead of Halloween.
Travel Web site ProfessionalTravelGuide.com has come up with a list of 9 haunted hotels (http://www.professionaltravelguide.com/Haunted-Hotels-2008) for thrill-seekers who like hearing things go bump in the night.
This list is not endorsed by Reuters:
1. Hotel Del Coronado, Coronado, California
Kate Morgan's body was found six days after she checked into Room 302 of the Hotel del Coronado to meet her estranged husband on Thanksgiving Day 1892. He reportedly never showed up. Kate's untimely death was ruled a suicide. Room 302 is now known as Room 3312, but Kate's spirit is said to roam the entire hotel.
2. Roosevelt Hotel, Hollywood, California
The site of the first Academy Awards and the center of Hollywood during its heyday, The Roosevelt Hotel is said to accommodate the ghosts of Marilyn Monroe (Suite 1200) and Montgomery Clift, star of "From Here to Eternity" (Room 928). Marilyn Monroe was a frequent guest there. Her image is said to appear in a mirror now located in the lobby.
3. The Sagamore, Bolton Landing, New York
The Sagamore in Bolton Landing, New York, is said to harbor the ghost of a boy from the 1950s. The boy would collect lost golf balls and sell them to the pro shop for extra cash. Running after a ball one day, he was fatally struck by a car. Apparently, guests still see the boy on the golf course sometimes.
4. Driskill Hotel, Austin, Texas
The smell of cigar smoke can be detected when Colonel Driskill, a Texas cattle baron and Confederate officer, is said to be wandering the lavish Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas. In 1877, the daughter of a Texas senator took a fatal tumble down the grand staircase. It is said she can be heard bouncing a ball in the lobby and along the mezzanine.
5. Shieldhill Castle, Edinburgh, Scotland
Guests tell stories of "The Gray Lady" who is said to haunt Shieldhill Castle in Edinburgh, Scotland. According to legend, she was the daughter of the family who owned the castle until the mid-20th century. She is said to have fallen in love with one of the hired hands. When her father disapproved of the marriage, she committed suicide.
6. Hotel Provincial, New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans is renowned for its spooks and hauntings. Part of the Provincial Hotel was once a Confederate hospital. Maids have reported bloodstains mysteriously appearing and disappearing. Once, as the elevator opened on the second floor, the vision of an entire hospital apparently came into view.
7. The Marshall House, Savannah, Georgia
Used as a hospital during the Civil War and during yellow fever epidemics in the 19th century, the Marshall House in Savannah, Georgia, is reportedly one of the most haunted hotels in the city. For more ghosts, check out the famed Pirate House Restaurant with a tunnel dug by pirates that leads to the river.
8. The Heathman Hotel, Portland, Oregon
At this hotel, guests who have left their rooms clean have returned to find something amiss or moved about. Records for the hotel will have shown no one entering the room. Evidently, these occurrences are frequent, especially in rooms ending in-03.
9. The Carolina Inn, Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Paranormal researchers have studied The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, believed investigating the spirit of Dr. William Jacocks who lived at the inn for many years. Orbs, piano notes, soft-spoken words and other ghostly happenings add to the spooky ambience.

saccha pyaar @3-4 girls
anywayz a friend of mine ws asking if I had something interesting going in my life ...and i ws like in a tp(=timepass) statement said "3-4 se saccha pyaar"
now apparently that irked things up since how ccan sachcha pyaar be with 3-4 ..and how is it not decided...now instead of talking that how am I not decided on the no. of girls I am in love with the talk was more abt the surety if that no. is not going to increase..Talk digressed to the fundamental subject of that if it possible to love more than 1 person..now there is the mythological case of Draupadi loving 5 guyz..first upheld religion..second upheld sharpness and also very gud archer..third ws all strength..and 4 and 5th were gud enuf kinds..
Also then we have Krishna who had loads of fun..;)
But the more important question is it possible to love more than one person..I think you can admire the beauty /or something of more than one person and you can like also..but love is a more subtle thing ..
I really dont know how to end this but I dont think there is an end to this so ...

Lost City of Chernobyl
“In matters nuclear one thing is certain: there is no protection in an iron curtain.” A letter in The Times May 3rd, 1986.
On the 26th of April 1986 shortly after midnight, to be precise, at 1:23 GMT, there occurred near the Ukrainian town of Chornobyl a tremendous explosion at a huge nuclear power plant, followed by a gradual meltdown of the reactor No. 4.
Chornobyl is situated 80 miles north-west of Kiev, the ancient capital of Ukraine and the Soviet Union’s third largest city.
It was by far the worst nuclear reactor accident ever, which immediately sent a radioactive cloud across neighbouring Byelorussia, Poland and the Baltic Republics towards Scandinavia.
Within days, borne by shifting winds, radioactive mists wafted beyond Soviet borders and spread across most of Europe causing anxiety, apprehension and fear.
The most badly affected were the Republics of Ukraine and Byelorussia. They suffered large scale involuntary irradiation, due to extensive secrecy, and great economic damage. Furthermore the contaminated air mass passed over large areas of Poland and also over parts of Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Yugoslavia and a number of West European countries.
Till now the land is abandoned, thousands of houses, thousands acres of the land, everything is now stays almost the same as it was 20 years ago.
Nowadays there guided tours are being conducted to this area. These photos are made by Alexandr Vikulov, pikul2001@mail.ru while participating in such a trip.
This Soviet Era sign indicates the entrance to Chernobyl county. Many of the things there stand unchanged since Soviet union times.
This is also a sign from Soviet times on one of the buildings in Chernobyl. There is life now in Chernobyl, some people decided to return despite the radiation hazard. The members of this trip have noticed even one building was being renovated.
Still people are very rare on the streets of Chernobyl. All the pipes now are on top of the ground, because the soild is nuclear polluted.
This is the main square in downtown of Chernobyl.
It is the monument to the people who tried to shut down the nuclear station right after the accident happened. Many of the died - some same year (1986) others a little bit later.
This is also that monument. On the road to the monument there are a lot of signs warning about nuclear pollution, but trees and bushes grew all over them so it’s possible not to notice such signs. Nature is not afraid of radiation.
This is kindergatten kindergarten on the way to Chernobyl in one of the abandoned villages.
This is a bedroom in it.
Toys are lying all over the place.
Music notes.
How is it correct to cross a road?
One more bedroom.
This is a Chernobyl Nuclear Station itself. Even now people there work, they build a special cover on top of the blown up reactor, so that radiation could not spread further. They are allowed to work inside not more than 2 minutes a day in special protective uniform, and they get $1000 monthly salary for this 2 minute job a day, which is 5 times bigger than an average salary in this region. Many people try to tune their the dosage indicators so that they show less numbers than they got in reality so that they could work more and earn more.
This was a cultural center for Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant workers.
Coming inside…
Such huge pictures across the walls were very classy in Soviet 80s.
This is a gym, Soviet symbolics is left untouched. Probably no other places in former USSR where it can be found so.
Through the floor there is already a tree grew. Probably a result of some mutation?
Here is written “Brave ones”
Sport equipment.
And that’s a view to a side-show.
Leaving a gym..
More Soviet symbolics and portraits of some Soviet leaders.
“Love” is written here.
A lonely doll was lost on the asfalt.
Here were the tickets sold to the side-shows.
This was a star turn, the big dipper.
And this is the entrance to it. Some more toys are left..
And some more Soviet era signs.
A disposed fire extinguisher.
It has been said that some mad French artist visited an abandoned city and made series of crazy paintings on the walls all across the city.
This was the hotel.
Some more of French paintings.
Some tables are left on the middle of the square. Look at this Nuclear Hazard sign, it was previously used to be a peaceful sign, now it shows the real state of the things here.
This is a Soviet style mailbox.
Piece of the Soviet architecture…
Inside of School building. Look how many gas-masks!
Somebody left his shoe in a rush.
That’s a chemistry classroom.
And this is a teachers room.
This is a class log.
The building of the school suffers demolition…
Guess what it is.
This is inside a hospital.
Inside of a cubicle.
Chess and a medical thing.
Mattresses.
This is an elevator. It is stuck halfway.
This medical drug is left untouched for 20 years!
And some more drugs untouched.
Beds at the hostpital’s yard.
Walking across the city. All these trees weren’t here before the accident, 20 years ago. They are a new generation.
A dock.
This is another sample of Soviet architecture, 16 stored building with a Soviet state emblem.
Just another view of it.
Another street art on the walls of the abandoned city Chernobyl, all of them appeared after the accident, when first tourists appeared.
And some more on the roof of this 16 stored building from previous photos.
This is the view on the Chernobyl Power Plant. As it can be seen it stands right in the middle of the city.
This is that emblem.
Some giant letters are scattered across the roof. What for? Who knows..
A view of totally abandoned city.
Forest came into the city.
Another piece of art…
